Hello folks, just thought I'd give you a quick update on what I've been up to lately. I've been pretty busy but still working in some time for the good ole blog. This past Thursday I ended up going to a show in New Hampshire at the Casino Ball Room in Hampton Beach. I went and saw The Brew play, with The Disco Biscuits headlining. The show was pretty awesome, all of the people there were really into it and the entire crowd was mostly people 18-24 (which wasn't a total surprise). I didn't bring a camera with me, but here's a video of the Biscuits I found while browsing Youtube. Also, this weekend was Fall Long Weekend (aka we had Columbus Day on Monday with no classes). Since the weekend was so long I decided to go home and spend some time with my friends and family. It was also my friend Colin's birthday so I had to go celebrate with my friends, specially since I hadn't seen some of them for over a month. On Monday I returned to UNE, attempting to get some homework done before classes today, and I did manage to accomplish just that. I even got my Poverty slides done for my presentation I had in class today (which I was 15 minutes late for by the way) I had a terrible headache all day and I ended up taking a nap, sleeping in too long. Luckily I walked into class just as my group began presenting and I followed through with my presentation flawlessly (or so I hope haha). Also I managed to fit in some time today to go into Biddeford with my friend Julia. We went to the bank, Goodwill (where we both got some nice "new" winter coats), and we checked out the natural food and health store on Main St. The store was pretty awesome and prices weren't that bad considering everything there was a lot more healthier than what one would get at Wal-mart (not that Wal-mart is bad, those low prices help you survive in college sometimes). Overall besides the killer headache I'd say today and this weekend was a blast. I am looking forward to seeing my friends back home as soon as I can, but I'm enjoying being back also, for who knows what the rest of this week will hold. |
