1-Another beginning!

Hello everyone!

I must say it feels good to be back at UNE and enjoying another fine year. The first few weeks have been great, and the weather hasn't been too shabby either (although it is definitely Fall time in Maine now, the cool chill is really in the air). Seeing all my friends after an entire summer break has been refreshing, almost as refreshing as swimming with them on a cool fall afternoon in the ocean, which I've been managing to do lately again since the ocean is in the backyard.

A few days ago the tide was at one of the highest points in months. The water raised over the jetty where the Saco river connects with the ocean. Some ducks were enjoying the water though, cruising right along like the tide did not matter. Also there was a lot of people out fishing, not just locals but I ran into quite a few UNE students trying their luck as well.

This year I am rooming with my friend Matt, who is a local Mainer like myself (not that there's anything wrong with states other than Maine, it's just that it rocks here, and theres plenty of rocks also...for mountain climbing that is). And here is Matt in all of his glory.

And my friend Chris

Along with Borah and Anna who are enjoying the comfy couch in our room.

Another year is ahead of us all and I am sure it will prove to be interesting. Every class and year has it's up and downs but with the first year down and our second year coming into full swing, I have no doubt everything will be fine (not that it isn't already!) by the time the snow has melted, the water is warm, and spring has forced itself upon us once again.
I am looking forward to keeping you all updated on my status and showing all the interesting things that shall occur in the future weeks and months ahead.
Welcome to the realm of UNE
