So another weekend has come and gone, and now I am just awaiting Mondays basically as I spend the last bits of my Sunday lounging around UNE. I got some of my homework done, had to participate in discussions through blackboard with a few of my classes. But I have a few more bits left to go, which I may just do tomorrow. Need to read some of Benjamin Franklins autobiography, and need to do some Marketing homework, nothing too stressful hopefully. Last week I picked up an application to be an RA next year, so maybe I'll get nominated and be able to get one of the positions. One of the upsides is free housing, which is definitely a plus in my book. If not, I am thinking of an apartment off campus somewhere, should be interesting to see how it comes out. If all else fails, the new dorm is really looking like a great place to live, when I walked by a few days ago it looked like a small fortress haha. My weekend was pretty good all around, went home to Gray to go car shopping, trying to find a new ride in the next few weeks. Not having a working car lately has been a hindrance (my car died on me not too long ago), but learning how to deal without a car is also a useful skill to have at your assets, because there are so many times in your life where driving around in a car may not be an instant option for transportation. I'll let you know how the search goes in the future! Spent some time with my friends back at home, and then made my trek back to UNE, but not before I had a delicious breakfast with my mom, was pretty awesome. I also finished reading my book this weekend, the new Wheel of Time book: The Gathering Storm. It was a really great book and the last two books in the series should be even better, really worth reading the entire series if you have time (12 books so far, total will be 14). Now if I could just read that autobiography. |
