As I may have stated before, the dorm building that I live in is Freddy Hall, the smallest dorm building on campus. Unlike most upperclassman dorms, freddy is not in suite forms. It is rather simular to the freshman dorms, such as Avila, Assisi, Padua and Sienna. Freddy is two floors, with a weird architectual design (it's kind of shaped like an S), but it's a pretty cool place to live. Most of the residents here hang out with each other more often then some of the people that live in the other dorms that are suites because we keep our doors open, specially since we live in one room dorms (the suites are usually 2-4 bedrooms with a livingroom and kitchenette also). My room is kind of a mess at the moment, so I don't have a lot of pictures of it, but here is some pictures I took around the building.
One of the more annoying things about the building is that the boiler room is directly below the lounge (the center of our S building), and usually the door is locked to the boiler room, so to get from one side of the building to another, you have to walk through the second floor lounge to the other side. I know the people that live one the first floor complain about this sometimes because they need to walk up the stairs but the exercise is good (cause walking up 1-2 flights of stairs is definitely exercise right? haha). But it has the plus side of having to walk through the lounge and having people in there usually at night, so it's always nice to chat it up with them, or watch some tv/movies (I think they're in there watching Sweeney Todd at the moment, which is a good movie by the way if you haven't seen it.) I put together a quick video for the building, just me walking around checking out what's going on. It gives you a good idea of the buildings set up (which is the weirdest dorm set up on campus). However I'm having trouble uploading the video at the moment, so I'll work on it and try to get it posted asap. And on a side note, I was planning to do a blog on a band playing in The Hang tonight, but I got the dates wrong and they're actually playing next Wednesday, not today so hopefully when they are here next week I'll get some pics/video of it.
