2. Fall Fun

I was on duty this weekend, and while I was walking over to the other building that I do rounds in I bumped into my boyfriend (talk about perfect timing) who came up from his school in New Hampshire to surprise me! On Saturday he came apple picking with my friends and me. Apple picking is my favorite thing to do every fall, so I was very excited. My family used to go every year as a big group (cousins, aunts and uncles, and grandparents) but it has been a while since we've all been able to get together, so it was nice to go again. There are a bunch of apple orchards about 25-40 minutes away from campus depending on how far you feel like driving, so that's pretty nice. Originally, we had planned on going to Randall Orchards in Standish, ME, but we got very lost and on our way we passed McDougal Orchards. Rather than getting even more lost than we already were, we decided to just try our luck at a new place. It ended up being an absolutely gorgeous day out. The sun was so warm, but it was breezy so the weather was perfect, and the apples were delicious. I picked about 7.5 lbs of apples to make apple crisp (my favorite fall food!). We haven't made it yet, but I'm sure we will be cooking it in the near future. After apple picking, I bought a new pet fish. His name is Rex. He is a red and white betta fish and is fun to watch.

I have an AP&P exam on Tuesday morning that I need to now start studying for, but here are some pictures from apple picking!
